Dragon Ball Super anime is making a huge comeback with the release of Dragon Ball Super: Suer Hero movie, but it's also getting a light novel adaptation.

According to the covers shared on Twitter on Friday, March 11, Masatoshi Kusakabe will be the author of the light novel based on character designs by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. This version will have a novelized version of the film's lot along with movie screenshots

The highly-anticipated movie is also getting a light novel in Shueisha Mirai Bunko version, which will be authored by Sui Ogawa. In the Mirai Bunko version, only the film's plot will be turned into a novel.

Both versions of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero light novel will be available on April 25, 2022, just three days after the Japanese theatrical release of the movie.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is set to release in theaters in Japan on April 22, 2022. Toei Animation already confirmed that the movie is coming to North American theaters this summer, and expect other regions to get official release dates soon.
