The hit anime series Shangri-La Frontier is currently midway into the airing of its season 2, and it has shifted with new opening credits that highlight the ongoing battles of Sunraku.

Just like the first season, the new chapter has been a massive hit among fans as Sunraku and his friends conquer more big bosses and explore their adventure into their retro world.

Is There New Opening Credits in Shangri-La Frontier Season 2?

In the recently aired episode 13 (or episode 38 overall) of Shangri-La Frontier season, 2 the series featured new opening and ending credits that highlight Sunraku's journey so far and his endless battles.

The epic new opening credits of the second season are set to "Frontiers" by Awich. You can watch it in the embedded video below:

Meanwhile, the vintage video game-style ending credits are set to the song "realitYhurts." by CVLTE. You can watch it here:

The response to the new opening and closing credits has been positive due to their great visuals and colors and intense action scenes that were highlighted as they depicted the journey that we've seen in the series so far.

It is also a way for them to hype up the second season further as it is currently amid the "Journeying Wolf, Be Ambitious" storyline.

Fans have been enthusiastic with the new season and this shows that they will be thrilled with the direction of the story as it promises more action and cool thrills in future episodes.

What is Shangri-La Frontier About?

In case you're not familiar with the series and are interested to check it out, Shangri-La Frontier centers on Rakuro Hizutome, who only cares about one thing: beating crappy VR games.

Rakuro devoted his entire life to these buggy games and could clear them all in his sleep. One day, he decides to challenge himself and play a popular god-tier game called Shangri-La Frontier. But he quickly learns just how difficult it is.

New episodes of the second season are currently airing weekly. It is also available to stream in Crunchyroll for the international audiences.
