We already know that the highly anticipated Doctor Strange sequel is getting a truly weird title but one that might confirm that vampires do exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It may have been revealed that Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness will be the film that will introduce Mahershala Ali as Blade into the MCU.
Blade is certainly getting his own film soon but is it possible that Ali will be introduced before the movie? Kevin Feige hinted at the idea when he spoke to Rotten Tomatoes during San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
"We have, for years, wanted to find a new way into Blade, we love that character. We love that world. Now, with Doctor Strange and the supernatural elements coming into the MCU, it felt like we could definitely start exploring that," Feige said.
Considering that Blade doesn't have an official release date yet and Doctor Strange 2 is already scheduled to premiere in 2021, there's a huge chance that Eric Brooks will show up in The Multiverse of Madness. After all, it's been confirmed to be Marvel's first horror film so introducing vampires (or half-vampires) shouldn't be a big deal.
Although we're already looking forward to seeing a certain Daywalker make a cameo in Doctor Strange 2, there is also a possibility that other characters will show up in The Multiverse of Madness. Some believe that it's the best way to tease at the X-Men finally joining the MCU. Although there have been no plans to bring in the X-Men, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if it actually happens. But for now, we recommend taking the whole X-Men debut thing with a grain of salt.
Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness is scheduled for release on May 7, 2021.
