The cancellation of Swamp Thing might be a depressing idea but that doesn't seem to bother Derek Mears. The horror legend who portrays the swamp monster in the DC Universe series still has some ideas on how the show could move forward and it involves a major crossover with Justice League Dark or John Constantine.
Mears recently spoke to Screen Rant about his work on Swamp Thing and the Friday the 13th star stated that he has never been told about any possible crossovers. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean he doesn't have ideas of his own.
Interestingly, Mears was very enthusiastic about the possibility of continuing to work with the cast and crew of Swamp Thing on a crossover with another cancelled DC series.
But what are the chances that Constantine will actually show up in Swamp Thing? Mears declined to confirm anything but did point out that there could be Easter eggs to look forward to in the upcoming episodes.
That certainly has us convinced to keep our eyes peeled. The next episode of Swamp Thing could be something to look forward to.
