Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy recently addressed the concerns surrounding the cameos as fans continue to speculate on the movie's surprises.

For the past several months, we've been hearing rumors about the cameos that the film has in store as it is expected that they will bring back some of the actors from the original Fox X-Men movies and reunite with Hugh Jackman.

As expected, Marvel Studios remains mum on the details regarding the film's surprise cameos, but their recent trailers and TV spots have revealed a couple of supporting X-Men characters that will show up such as Sabretooth.

Shawn Levy on Deadpool and Wolverine's Surprise Cameos

In a recent interview, Levy opened up about Deadpool and Wolverine's surprise cameos and addressed the concerns regarding how the film might just be full of fan service instead of focusing on the story.

He assured that the cameos would be relevant to the story and they would not appear for the sake of surprising the audiences.

"We didn't want any of the cameos or characters to be the story of the movie. But they are peppered in throughout. There's a lot of characters," the filmmaker teased.

"The internet is a delight of rumors about the multitude of character cameos that are in this movie. Some rumors are true, some are way off base."

We've heard several names that have been attached to the movie's cameo rumors. However, we can count out Taylor Swift as a recent report has confirmed that she won't be making an appearance in the film.

It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out as the A-list cameos are still shrouded in secrecy and we will only be able to find out about them once we see the film in its entirety when it releases later this month.

Hopefully, the cameos are indeed relevant to the story and it won't be for the sake of fan service, which has become a complaint for some MCU fans recently.

Deadpool and Wolverine is set to arrive in theaters this July 26.
