There is little doubt that people are hyped up for the recently announced Super Mario Bros. movie. After all, the new adaptation of the beloved video game will feature an all-star cast led by Chris Pratt. Now, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor has shared a hilarious "first look" at his upcoming project.
Pratt Is understandably excited to play Mario in the new animated movie based on the Nintendo video games. So it's no surprise that the Tomorrow War star decided to share a fan's video edit using footage from Guardians of the Galaxy and sound effects from the Super Mario Bros. games. Pratt then called it the "first look" at his new movie and declares that it is going to be epic.
It's an awesome edit and there is little doubt that the new Super Mario movie is going to be just as action-packed as the video. We're just not sure if there will be a Power Stone involved in the video game adaptation. Needless to say, we can't wait to see the real first look at the new film in the future.
The Super Mario movie will also feature the voices of The Queen's Gambit actress Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
Original Mario voice actor Charles Martinet is also set to contribute several roles in the movie. He is set to be a great addition to the already stellar cast. This is just another reason for us to look forward to the new project next year.
The new Super Mario movie is being produced by Illumination and Nintendo. The film is currently scheduled to release on December 21, 2022.
