It's not every day that we get ourselves a definitive superhero casting and I think we can all agree that Chris Hemsworth happens to be part of an elite list of actors who were cast perfectly in their comic book roles. At this rate, it's hard to imagine a different actor playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe other than Hemsworth and it just goes to show how he's already owned the role as the God of Thunder.
However, it may come as a surprise to a lot of fans that the Australian actor grew up idolizing a different superhero and it turns out that he wasn't always a Marvel guy. On Twitter, the Thor: Love and Thunder star posted a birthday tribute to his younger self who was apparently a Batman fanatic and according to him, his kiddo self probably isn't thrilled that he isn't playing The Dark Knight on the big screen. He jokingly wrote: "My younger self would be so disappointed". Check it out here:

To be fair, most of us were introduced to established characters like Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man so it doesn't come as a surprise how Hemsworth wasn't always a fan of his own MCU character. Speaking of, it looks like he'll break his own record of being the longest-tenured actor in the billion-dollar franchise, and after all is said and done, he might just go down in MCU history as the strongest Avenger.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to premiere on Disney+ on August 24.
