CD Projekt Red Renews Contract With The Witcher Creator

It looks like fans of The Witcher games can breathe easy. CD Projekt Red has just renewed its contract with Andrzej Sapkowski, which means that there could be a new title in the future.

The announcement was made by CD Projekt Red on their official website, confirming that they have renewed their relationship with Sapkowski. The confirmation comes just a few months after the author spoke about being unhappy with his current deal with the video game developer.

CD PROJEKT President and Joint CEO Adam Kiciński released a statement about the renewal.

"We've always admired Mr. Andrzej Sapkowski's works — a great inspiration for the team here at CD PROJEKT RED," Kiciński said. "I believe today marks a new stage in our continued relationship."

This is welcome news from fans who have been concerned about the way Sapkowski has been talking about his displeasure with his previous deal. Nevertheless, this could mean that the developer and the author have made a compromise for the sake of the fans.

New The Witcher titles aren't the only things that Sapkowski has to deal with right now. He has previously stated that the Netflix series is going to be a huge success just like the video games after he saw the show's first trailer.

"I can say one thing: if the series will be as beautiful as the trailer, we will have a masterpiece," Sapkowski said.

The Witcher series is currently streaming on Netflix.
