Before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters, we're going back to the 90s to catch up on the story of Captain Marvel. The movie comes out in a few weeks, and Marvel Studios has released a new clip of Danvers interrogating a younger Nick Fury.
What's cool about this clip is that it manages to give us a short exposition of Fury's life while at the same time showing us Danvers' tactics in weeding out Skrulls. We now know that Fury was a soldier in the military before he served as a spy in the Cold War. We don't really know why he ends up working for SHIELD, but it's said that this film will have him tired of being turned into a pencil-pusher in an office.
There's also a fun bit where Danvers asks Fury for a completely random detail about himself though she didn't really need to know it. When the trailers first came out, there were a lot of complaints that Captain Marvel seemed kind of dull and boring; at least we know that she has a sense of humor in this film.
With Wonder Woman breaking barriers for female-lead superhero movies, a lot of people are excited to see what's in store for Captain Marvel. Sure she's not as recognizable as Diana Prince, but that could all change once we see Captain Marvel soar into theaters.
Catch Captain Marvel in cinemas March 8.
