Marvel Studios has finally confirmed what we've suspected regarding Harrison Ford's involvement in Captain America: Brave New World.
The legendary actor is set to make his MCU debut in the upcoming film as President Thunderbolt Ross, who has been speculated by fans to be transforming into the Red Hulk.
The recently released teaser trailer finally confirmed that the film will feature an appearance from the Red Hulk. Now, we have a confirmation of which character will transform.
Harrison Ford is the Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World
During Marvel Studios' recent San Diego Comic-Con Hall H presentation, the exclusive footage for Captain America: Brave New World was unveiled to the audience.
The preview confirmed that Ford's Thunderbolt Ross will transform into the Red Hulk at some point in the film.
Ford was also on stage alongside his co-stars Anthony Mackie, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Blake Nelson, and Danny Ramirez to discuss the film.
He even teased his Red Hulk transformation by doing the "hulking out" of his character.
"This is a character that's based on a lot of history developed with Bill [Hurt], who played the character previously. But now, I am Thaddeus, and I'm delighted. And I'm proud to become a member of the Marvel universe," Ford said on stage.
"I've been watching fantastic actors — some of which are here tonight — have a really good time working in the Marvel universe, and I wanted a piece of the action. I'm very proud to be in this film. I think it has turned out to be fantastic."
It is still surreal to this day to see Ford become part of the MCU after decades of iconic roles and films that has resonated among multiple generations of moviegoers.
There is a lot of excitement now to see what his Red Hulk will look like and how he played the character since most fans may not have anticipated before that he would be willing to play this type of motion-capture role.
Captain America: Brave New World is slated for release in theaters on February 14, 2025.
