Blake Baldoni has reportedly done everything to take on Blake Lively in a legal battle—even if it means spending more on PR in case the fans of the actress’ close friend, Taylor Swift, turn against him.
The pop superstar, set to release her new album The Life of a Showgirl on October 3, became involved in the dispute after Lively mentioned her in a text exchange with Baldoni, which was included in the actor’s legal filing.
In the message, the 37-year-old star referred to Swift as one of her “dragons,” alongside Ryan Reynolds, seemingly warning Baldoni of their fame and influence.
How Did Taylor Swift Cost Justin Baldoni a Lot of Money?

New legal documents obtained by TMZ revealed that someone from Baldoni’s team requested a $30,000 monthly fee to manage Taylor Swift’s fans in case they initiated a backlash against the Jane the Virgin alum.
“The social team are now worried about Blake activating the Taylor Swift fan base, which is a major concern,” read an email among the 41-year-old director’s PR executives. “With this in mind, and to ensure Justin and the studio are 100% protected moving forward, they have now changed the fee to $30,000 per month due to the uptick in social chatter.”
Another legal document showed an invoice from Jed Wallace’s crisis PR firm, Street Relations Inc., sent to Baldoni’s studio, Wayfarer Studios, billing him the same amount.
Wallace’s name also appeared in the text messages Lively included in her sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni.
According to the Another Simple Favor star, the messages—allegedly from Baldoni’s PR team—credited Wallace with successfully shifting the social media narrative around the It Ends With Us co-stars.
Lively named Wallace and his PR companies as parties in her December 2024 California civil rights complaint against Baldoni, citing alleged misconduct during the filming of their controversial movie.
Wallace responded by filing a defamation suit against Lively in February but was later dismissed from the lawsuit involving Ryan Reynolds’ wife.
How was Taylor Swift Involved in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Legal Battle?

Swift is known to be best friends with Lively. They were often seen together, and Taylor Swift is even the godmother of Lively’s three daughters: James, Inez, and Betty.
However, Swift’s reported involvement in Lively’s legal battle against Baldoni has reportedly strained their friendship.
The conflict began when Baldoni used his text exchange with Lively as evidence, in which she referred to Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons” and even compared herself to Khaleesi, the Mother of Dragons from Game of Thrones. Allegedly, this made Swift mad.
“She will forever be furious at how Blake quite clearly was using her for clout and leverage in her dealings with Justin,” a source told Page Six. “She really hates that Blake would even think like that, let alone write the things she did in that text.”
Baldoni and his team reportedly believed Lively was using Swift as a weapon and even issued a subpoena to have her appear as a witness in their upcoming trial in March 2026. The subpoena was later dropped in May.
The two best friends are said to be no longer on speaking terms following a judge’s dismissal of Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively in June.
