Marvel Studios has yet to confirm a follow-up to the wildly successful Black Panther. However, that hasn't stopped fans from speculating on what could happen in the sequel to the 2018 film. For instance, new Black Panther 2 fan art depicts Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding as the movie's possible antagonist Namor the Sub-Mariner.
The fan art was created by internet artist Bosslogic who even gave the sequel the possible title Black Panther: Two Kings. Check it out below.
It certainly looks good and Golding seems to approve. The A Simple Favor star left a comment on Bosslogic's Instagram post that appears to express his interest in playing Namor. Golding simply commented, "Imperius Rex," which is one of the Sub-Mariner's catchphrases.
Golding certainly knows how to get people hyped for Black Panther 2. However, it is important to point out that Marvel Studios has not yet announced the sequel as part of the Phase 4 lineup. Nevertheless, it's possible that a second Black Panther movie will be happening in Phase 5.
Although Golding has yet to be cast as Namor, there is little doubt that he's a busy man. He has just finished working on Last Christmas with Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke as well as the Guy Richie film The Gentlemen, which will also star Hugh Grant and Matthew McConaughey. Golding is also expected to reprise his role as Nick Young in two Crazy Rich Asians sequels.
