Avengers: Endgame Set To Release On Disney+ This December

It looks like Marvel fans have even more incentive to subscribe to Disney's upcoming streaming platform, Disney+.

Not only is the Mickey Mouse House luring in subscribers with a smorgasbord of new streaming series from both Star Wars and Marvel, but the studio's also promising to add Avengers: Endgame to its roster later in December this year.

The second chapter in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie, Endgame puts an end to the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, culminating the last ten years of the franchise itself. The film has been nothing but a critical and commercial success, wowing viewers all around the globe. It's also managed to rake in more than $2 billion during its first two weeks in cinemas, turning the film into one of the fastest-earning blockbusters in Hollywood history, second only to James Cameron's Avatar.

Now, according to a new report by Deadline, Disney CEO Bob Iger has just confirmed that Endgame is set to drop on Disney+ starting December 11. This is great news for fans who're looking forward to reviewing the film. It also adds to the site's current offerings. Lucasfilm is now in the middle of preparing two different series for the site – Jon Favreau's Star Wars: The Mandalorian and the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel spinoff series.

Meanwhile, Marvel's already promised a bunch of mini-series featuring Marvel characters who've yet to receive their own standalone films including Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Loki, Bucky, and the Falcon.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
