Avengers: Endgame Re-Release Might Introduce Fantastic Four Character In Post-Credits Scene

In case you missed it, Avengers: Endgame will be returning to theaters really soon and the new cut of the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick is expected to include some never-before-seen footage. But what could Marvel Studios possibly add to a film that is pretty close to being perfect? There are speculations that the new "footage" will actually be a post-credits scene that could include a Fantastic Four character who could play a major role in Phase 4.

Anyone who has seen Endgame is well aware that the movie didn't have a post-credits scene. Instead, the last thing we hear in the film was the sound of a hammer striking metal. This was later revealed to be a sound clip from 2008's Iron Man where Tony Stark first works on his first armor. However, a new theory suggests that Marvel Studios will work around the sound and reveal it to be a completely different character.

The theory posted on Reddit purports that the sound will still be featured but could lead to a post-credits scene where a mask is being created. The mask could reportedly look like the one worn by Dr. Doom and confirm that the Fantastic Four villain will play a major role in the MCU's Phase 4.

Disney finalized its acquisition of 20th Century Fox just a few weeks before the premiere on Endgame so there probably wasn't enough time to include a post-credits scene involving Fox characters. Although this is just a theory, it's certainly an awesome idea and people are hoping to see this happening soon.

Avengers: Endgame is expected to get its major re-release right before the premiere of Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 2.
