Tom Holland Wants Spider-Man and Doctor Strange to Team Up in an MCU Movie

Spider-Man and Doctor Strange are two characters who are polar opposites, yet the two have always managed to have a number of team-ups. It might be due to both characters being created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko but the two being together always manages to inspire comic creators to come up with creative stories. Turns out Spider-Man: Far From Home lead Tom Holland is like those comic creators since he wants these two to team up in the MCU.

During an interview with CinemaBlend, Holland was asked why he wanted to see the two characters work together in the MCU. As usual, Holland gives an interesting answer. No, he doesn't spoil Far From Home in any way.

"I'm really wanting to do a team-up with Doctor Strange, because we're both New Yorkers and I just really like the idea of a science guy being teamed up with a guy who does magic, because it totally contradicts everything he knows. And I like the idea that there is real science that Peter Parker talks about, and then there's Doctor Strange gibberish, where he's like ‘The time rift and the thing and the thing.' So it's kind of fun."

We did see the two interact briefly during Avengers: Infinity War and it was good while it lasted. Everyone remembers the scene where Strange introduces himself and Peter says "oh, so we're using our codenames," which was a really fun bit. Hopefully, we see more of Strange and Peter interactions in the future.

Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 2.
