Avengers: Endgame was nothing but a major success for Marvel Studios. Not only did the film enjoy overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and from critics, but it also received a lot of box office success, eventually beating Avatar to become the highest-grossing film of all time.
Now, it looks like the film is headed towards even more success. There's been a lot of chatter going around saying that Endgame definitely deserves some recognition at next year's Academy Awards, and it looks like the film's producer, Trinh Tran, wouldn't really mind if Marvel would make a massive "For Your Consideration" push for the movie.
Preparing for the epic comic book movie's upcoming home media release next week, ComicBook.com decided to interview Tran about Endgame and the publication asked whether Marvel would be making an Academy Awards push for the film.
Though the producer didn't give a concrete answer saying that she, Kevin Feige, the Russos, and the rest of Endgame's team would be campaigning for the film to get a few nods at the Oscars, she did say that it would be an interesting achievement for the film.
"I mean that would be great, right?" Trans responded in her interview with the site, "I think, with RDJ, he spent the last decade bringing this character to life since the first Iron Man. To pay tribute to him in Endgame and where his journey ends, I hope everybody embraced what we felt emotionally was impactful to his character. I think that the Russos mentioning that it would be great that he gets acknowledged for the endeavor that he did."
Endgame was a massive endeavor, bringing in a huge number of comic book characters to the big screen during its climax in the fight between Thanos armies and the Avengers. The film was monumental and significant in the history of comic book movies – it would come as no surprise to see Endgame getting an Academy Award nod or two during next year's Oscars.
Avengers: Endgame is currently available on Digital HD. The film's home media release is scheduled for August 13.
