Avengers: Endgame Director Says Captain America Is The Most Difficult Hero To Play

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a lot of complex characters that fans have come to love over the years, and Avengers: Endgame gather most of these characters together in the Avengers big stand against the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his cosmic army. However, while the MCU has a lot of pretty great characters that fans have come to love, Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo believes there's only one character that's especially difficult to play.

Chris Evans just recently got a profile from Men's Journal, and to help complete the article, the entertainment news outlet's writer spoke to Endgame co-director Joe Russo to help shed a light on the Marvel Star.

During his interview with the publication, Russo revealed that Captain America was truly a difficult character to play.

"(Captain America) is one of the most difficult roles you could possibly ask an actor to play. He's playing integrity and moral fortitude and making it complex and interesting at the same time. It can be very difficult," Russo told the publication.

Of course, the filmmaker could be a little bit biased towards Captain America. After all the Russos Brothers have directed at least two Captain America movies before they started working on Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. But then again, there's still a lot to love about Captain America. Playing the all-America-boy-scout can be pretty tough because Steve Rogers has such impossibly high standards – how can one really live up to Captain America's name?

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD.
