Earlier this week, we were treated to the first trailer of the highly-anticipated MCU film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which gave us a look at Jonathan Majors' official debut as Kang the Conqueror. However, besides the familiar actors that we already know, it looks like the film has added another notable cast member to its ensemble.

Variety has confirmed that The Good Place and The Resort star William Jackson Harper is joining the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. As usual, the details regarding the role that he's playing in the film are being kept under wraps at the moment.

The cast already includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Kathryn Newton (as the new Cassie Lang), Jonathan Majors, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Randall Park, and Bill Murray. Peyton Reed is also returning to direct the film while Jeff Loveness wrote the screenplay.

Harper is certainly a great addition to the cast. Not only because he's an Emmy nominee and a talented actor who has done both dramatic and comedic performances, but there are fans who are putting his name in contention to possibly play Reed Richards. While it is likely that he won't be playing the smartest man alive, some are hoping that it could still happen.

Either way, it is exciting that he'll be part of the MCU and hopefully, he will play a juicy role in the film. He will also end up becoming the second The Good Place main cast member to join the franchise after Jameela Jamil in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

The premise of the film reads: "Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, along with Hope's parents Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne and Lang's daughter Cassie, go on a new adventure exploring the Quantum Realm that pushes their limits and pits them against Kang the Conqueror."
