Marvel Studios recently released the first official trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and f you haven't been keeping up with all things MCU the last three years, you probably noticed that there's something different about Cassie Lang. In case you didn't know, the film actually replaced Emma Fuhrmann, the actress who played Cassie in Avengers: Endgame.

It was previously speculated that Fuhrmann had to be recast because she wanted to focus on college but it turns out that it was Marvel Studios' decision to let go of the actress. What's even more dispairing is the fact that Emma apparently found out about it on the day the studio made the casting announcement.

Now, it may have been two years since Kathryn burst into the scene but it's quite evident that some fans have yet to warm up to the Freaky star. Following the release of Quantumania's "astonishing" (get it?) trailer, fans took to Twitter to express their dismay over Fuhrmann's recasting. It's safe to say that most of them are still bitter about it. Check out some of the reactions below:

Emma remains hopeful that there's still a future waiting for her in the MCU but I gotta say, the studio made the wrong call replacing her because clearly, fans already formed an attachment to her in Endgame. Also, her resemblance to Abby Ryder Fortson is actually quite uncanny but hey, it is what it is. I'm sure Newton will be able to win the cynics over.

Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania hits cinemas on February 17, 2023.
