Rian Johnson Hinted At Kylo Ren's Redemption In Star Wars: Episode IX

It looks like things are coming to an end in 2019. Richard E. Grant has previously suggested that Star Wars: Episode IX will be the final Star Wars film. Interestingly, Adam Driver has somehow said the same thing about the highly anticipated blockbuster.

Driver recently spoke to Deadline about his new film BlacKkKlansman and somehow discussed working on Episode IX. The Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor compared his experience with the franchise to his HBO series Girls, saying it's his "second time doing something where it's lasted six years."

This certainly confirms that Driver knows how Kylo Ren's story will eventually end and it could actually happen in Episode IX. However, it might not necessarily mean that the movie will be the final Star Wars film. It is the last one in the current trilogy but there could be more movies after the Skywalker storyline.

It has already been confirmed that The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is developing his own Star Wars trilogy after Episode IX. Although there haven't been any updates on the new movies just yet, we could be hearing from Johnson after the premiere of the next Star Wars movie.

Star Wars: Episode IX will hit theaters on December 20.
