The story of The Rings of Power would never be complete without a hobbit.

Elanor Kellamark Brandyfoot, also known as Nori, is a Harfoot who was part of Sadoc Burrows’ caravan during the Second Age.

Nori was one of the most adventurous Harfoots in the first season. She often dreamed of wondering beyond their wandering.

After seeing a meteorite, she and her best friend, Poppy Proudfellow, discovered a mysterious figure known as The Stranger.

This figure was later revealed to be one of the Istari, and Nori joined him as he looked for answers in the land of Rhûn.

The Stranger is a mysterious individual Nori and Poppy find after a meteorite falls. Many thought he was the Dark Lord Sauron.

But he was later proved to be a different man. He’s one of the Istari, the spirits sent in human form in Middle-earth.

As an Itari, he possesses incredible magical powers, such as healing, temperature control, and telekinetic repulse.

One of the most enigmatic characters introduced in The Rings of Power is The Dweller.

A female Mystic of Sauron from Rhûn, she travelled into Rhovanion with two other Mystics, The Nomad and The Ascetic, to look for The Stranger and return him to Sauron.

The three followed The Stranger to The Grove after seeing the crater that the meteorite left.

After finally catching up to him, they put him to sleep and trapped the Harfoots with their ability to shape-shift, pretending to be The Stranger.

Theo (Tyroe Muhafidin)

Bronwyn's son Theo was initially sceptical of Arondir’s feelings for his mother. But as a human, he grew up under the watchful eye of the elves, who were always suspicious of their kind.

With a mystery father, there are theories surrounding the real identity of Theo.

In the opening episodes of The Rings of Power, he was drawn to the dark powers of Sauron and Morgoth, making him one of the most interesting characters.

But after finding the long-lost artefact of the Dagger of Southlands, he was brought to great danger and met Galadriel, who gifted him the sword she got from Númenor and encouraged him to be the warrior he desired.

Halbrand (Charlie Vickers)

An original character for The Rings of Power, Halbrand was a name and identity Sauron took for himself during the late Second Age of Middle-Earth.

When the mortal man met Galadriel, his background was mysterious. True to fans’ theory, he was hiding his identity to redeem himself from his past evil deeds.

Halbrand was supposed to be the King of the Southlands, but the Orcs drove him out.

But when Galadriel learned through the genealogical scroll that the last King of Southlands died thousands of years ago with no heir, a confrontation between the two ensued.

There, Halbrand revealed his identity as Sauron and entered Galadriel’s mind to prove to her that his desire to heal Middle-earth was genuine.

However, Galadriel refused to believe him, leaving Eregion and returning to the Southlands, which was newly renamed Mordor.

Which of these characters do you deem to be best? More may come with several new characters introduced in The Rings of Power and the upcoming new season.
