Zom 100 may be facing production issues, but it’s still considered by many to be one of the highlight shows of the season. Now, the anime has made waves once again as Zom 100 announced a cameo from Zombie Land Saga characters.
On the official X (formerly Twitter) accounts of both shows, it was revealed that the six main voice actresses of Zombie Land Saga voiced characters in Zom 100 Episode 6.
The posts asked fans if they could figure out when in the episodes the VAs appeared. However, only Japanese fans were able to participate as the show’s latest episode is delayed on international streaming platforms.
Zom 100 and Zombie Land Saga: A Surprisingly Good Match
The zombie apocalypse is a pretty tired genre at this point, but that hasn’t stopped Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead from delighting anime fans. This is thanks in large part to its unique twist on the zombie formula.
Specifically, the show follows Akira, a young man who works in a company that overworks its employees. Because of this, when a zombie apocalypse happens, Akira is delighted as it means he no longer has to go to work.
This lighthearted take on the zombie genre is unique enough that aside from an anime, the original Zom 100 manga also inspired a live-action movie that was released on Netflix earlier this month.
Zombie Land Saga is another unique show that puts its own spin on the genre.
Instead of being set in a zombie wasteland, the show follows an idol group called Franchouchou which is composed of zombies.
These zombies were almost all idols in their past lives, and they were resurrected by a necromancer who wanted the idol group to revitalize Saga Prefecture.

Franchouchou Makes a Cameo Appearance in Zom 100
Technically, the Franchouchou members did not seem to appear in the latest Zom 100 episodes, though the six voice actresses were confirmed to have had cameo voice roles in Episode 6.
This was confirmed via the official X account of both shows. The announcement posts featured a funny illustration of Franchouchou’s Sakura Minamoto in the recording booth for Zom 100 at the behest of their producer.
Because of this, fans outside Japan have more reason to look forward to the show’s next episode. However, it will only be available today because of a 24-hour delay to the sixth episode's streaming release.
Meanwhile, the show’s other episodes will also be delayed, with the final three episodes having indefinite release dates.
