Zoe Saldaña recently opened up about the pronouns that she assigned to her Oscar statue.

She scored her first-ever Oscar win when she won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Emilia Perez earlier this year. She made history during the night as the first Dominican American actress to win an Oscar.

What Are the Pronouns of Zoe Saldaña's Oscar Statue?

In a recent interview with People, Saldaña was asked where she is currently keeping her Oscar statue following her victory earlier this year.

"We have it in my office, and my Oscar is gender fluid," she responded.

Not only that, the Oscar-winning actress also shared that her statue is "trans" and "goes by they/them" pronouns.

It is unknown yet whether Saldaña's decision to name her Oscar statue as "trans" was a tribute to the film that she won for, which is focused on the story of a transgender woman.

She is also the second Best Supporting Actress winner to reveal that her Oscar statue is gender-fluid, since Jamie Lee Curtis also shared in an interview days after he win that her trophy is identified as "they/them."

What is the Impact of the Oscar Win on Zoe Saldaña?

During an interview on Live with Kelly & Mark last week, Saldaña reflected on the moments she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Emilia Perez.

"It was all beginning to become a blur, it was such a beautiful journey leading up to the Oscars. I don’t think I was there as myself [that day], my 13-year-old self was there," she said.

When co-host Mark Consuelos brought up that he noticed during the night that she was sick, Saldaña admitted that she had collapsed after her victory.

"I collapsed right after. I lost my voice within an hour after I won the award. I couldn’t stand on those heels that I had. All I wanted to do was crawl in bed and maybe cry. I don’t know why, I needed to cry," she said.

"Your body is running on pure adrenaline, so you know that your immune system is in optimal condition, but once you know you tell your body that it’s over, then everything sort of collapses."
