At the online Magic: The Gathering panel for Comic-Con@Home today, MTG head designer Mark Rosewater officially revealed the first details for the upcoming set Zendikar Rising.
Although Rosewater did not reveal any new cards from Zendikar Rising yet, he did confirm details about the upcoming set.
The packaging for Zendikar Rising was also revealed on Wizards of the Coast's DailyMTG, and the art featured in the packaging confirms the return of Jace, Nahiri, and Omnath.
In addition, Rosewater also talked about the new type of booster pack called Set Booster, which he describes as a booster with many exciting points.
The Set Booster will cost more than a regular Draft Booster, but unlike the Draft Booster, the Set Booster will give you a chance of getting up to four Rares or Mythic Rares. And there's also a special slot from "The List", which contains 300 cards from the game's history in their original set symbol and frame, but with a special planeswalker symbol just like the cards from the Mystery Booster.
Rosewater also revealed new art from Zendikar Rising including this one:
Zendikar Rising is set to release on September 25, 2020.
