Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller recently opened up about the idea of potentially reviving the series with Zendaya as Clarice Starling.
Despite airing its abrupt final episode in 2015, fans are still clamoring for the beloved crime thriller series to be revived today. After all, the showrunner has been revealing throughout the years the unresolved storylines he still wants to explore if he ever gets an opportunity to revisit the series.
Is Hannibal TV Series Getting Revived with Zendaya as Clarice Starling?

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Fuller revealed that he is still open to the idea of reviving Hannibal and tackling The Silence of the Lambs storyline.
His dream casting is for Zendaya to play Clarice Starling, the iconic character that was previously played by Jodie Foster, who won an Oscar for the role.
"My dream project is to do a limited series of Silence of the Lambs with Mads [Mikkelsen] and Zendaya as Clarice Starling," he said.
"If I could put anything out into the universe, I would put that into the universe."
In a past interview, Fuller has expressed interest in casting a non-white actress for the role of Clarice Starling in a potential revival.
"I also love the idea of casting somebody who’s not white in that role," he said back in 2015.
"Having race play a factor in Clarice’s background, in a way that race plays a factor in everybody’s background, I think that would be an interesting exploration of the character."
Are There Plans to Revive Hannibal?
So far, there are no plans yet for a revival of Hannibal. MGM notably has the rights for The Silence of the Lambs, including the character of Clarice Starling.
Considering that studios and streamers today have been reliant on IP, it wouldn't be surprising if there are plans to revive the series at some point and make Fuller's dream come true.
After all, who wouldn't want to see Zendaya take on the role of Clarice Starling? Only time will tell. For now, fans should wait for news and updates regarding the potential revival in the future.
