Zack Snyder Defends THAT Scene from Batman V Superman

Zack Snyder's track record with the DCEU is pretty mixed but there are fans who will defend his films to death, whether they be Batman V Superman or Man of Steel. A lot of people are still mad that we didn't get his version of Justice League, which might have been problematic sure, but would have been a lot better than the generic superhero fodder we got two years ago.

So yes, Snyder has made good movies and isn't the worst filmmaker in the world. But why would anyone defend the "Martha" scene from Batman V Superman? Well, it seems like Snyder would, as the director was recently asked about it during his Director's Cuts panel at Pasadena's ArtCenter College of Design on Sunday (via ComicBook.com).

Here's how he defended the scene:

Now, to be fair, we get what they were trying to do here. They wanted Batman to see that Superman is more human than he gave him credit for and the fact that this God among men was begging Bruce to save his mother showed that he wasn't a menace.

Too bad the execution was horrible. SaAaAvE MuRtHa.

Shazam comes out on April 5. That will probably be better than Batman V Superman.
