Why Yoo Ah In Did Not Appear Before Seoul Metropolitan Police

On Thursday, The Korea Herald confirmed that Yoo Ah In postponed his visit due to the reporters waiting for him at the entrance of the police station's building. It marked the second time he missed the investigation, with the first offense happening in March.

At that time, he did not go to the police building after he allegedly found out that his summon date had been leaked to the media.

His Thursday appearance was supposed to help the police learn more details about his case, including how he got the drugs. For what it's worth, the National Institute of Forensic Science detected four traces of narcotics in his system — cannabis, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine.

He also reportedly used the psychotropic drug Zolpidem for nonmedical purposes.

Per reports, the #Alive actor denied the allegations and only admitted information regarding his cannabis use.

Will He Receive a Warrant of Arrest?

Days after his absence, local media outlets, including Seoul Newspaper, cited the police's statement regarding Yoo Ah In's absence.

On Monday, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Department's investigation division said it would request an official warrant to arrest the actor if his absence continues.

"It will be best to coordinate a date for his attendance as soon as possible and complete our investigation," the police said. "If that doesn't work out, then it will have to be done by [arresting him with an official warrant]."

The police are yet to confirm whether the investigation will be rescheduled soon.
