Who Are Yuki Itose and Itsuomi Nagi in A Sign of Affection?
Yuki is the female main protagonist of this slice-of-life, romance anime. She tends to be reserved, yet has a genuinely bright and pure character.
Yuki exudes warmth and is willing to help others in any way she can. Despite wearing her hearing aid, she struggles to discern sounds and their origins.
She primarily communicates using coded Japanese Sign Language. But she also makes use of notebooks or a mobile phone for those unfamiliar with sign language, including her family.
However, she exclusively uses sign language to communicate with her family and she is also proficient in lip reading.
Meanwhile, Itsuomi is a tall man with short, disheveled grey hair, occasionally hiding his eyes with bangs.
He sports a sun and moon motif tattoo on the middle finger of his right hand, seemingly linked to a journey.
Itsuomi is a man of few facial expressions, creating an air of mystery about his thoughts.
Despite this, he exudes an outgoing nature, constantly seeking to understand and learn from various cultures and perspectives.
His enthusiasm for exploration sometimes makes it appear as if he knows no bounds, leading him to travel abroad whenever he has free time to broaden his knowledge.
In addition to his passion for travel, Itsuomi is a polyglot, though in the anime, Rin Fujishiro, Yuki’s friend, mentions that Itsuomi is trilingual.
He is proficient in Japanese, English, Spanish, German, and Thai, and has some knowledge of Japanese Sign Language.

Will Yuki Itose and Itsuomi Nagi End Up Together in A Sign of Affection?
Since the manga of A Sign of Affection is still ongoing, it is difficult to predict whether Yuki and Itsuomi will end up together.
It is established quite early in the series that Yuki has a major crush on Itsuomi. Even Itsuomi, despite his lack of expressions, appears to have fallen for Yuki.
However, things get a little complex, and it is far from a straightforward love story.
There is one more character who seems to have feelings for Yuki, and he is her childhood friend, Oushi Ashioki.
He knows Yuki quite well and is a bit troubled by her bond with Itsuomi, as he appears to be in love with her.
