The Star WarsĀ Celebration Europe 2023 event unleashed a ton of upcoming Star Wars projects last weekend, including Ahsoka (2023), Andor Season 2, The Acolyte, Skeleton Crew, The Bad Batch Season 3, and even a Mando-Verse crossover movie and a Sequel-era installment. But we also got to see the stunning, brand-new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: Visions Season 2 (also known as "Volume 2"). But will any of these new episodes serve as sequels to some of the stories told during Season 1?

Star Wars: Visions made quite the impression when it premiered on Disney+ two years ago. With nine episodes and seven incredibly talented Japanese animation studios behind them, the anthology anime series was both a feast for the eyes and a breath of fresh air for the franchise.
Now, we have our very first look at Season 2, which features even more mind-bending animation, with one episode even being told entirely in stop-motion - a first for the Star Wars franchise!
The episodes in Star Wars: Visions Season 2 are as follows:
- Aau's Song
- The Pit
- The Bandits of Golak
- The Spy Dancer
- Journey to the Dark Head
- I Am Your Mother
- In the Stars
- Screecher's Reach
- Sith

Although, with that said, the trailer itself doesn't appear to include anything that even remotely resembles a follow-up to the likes of "Lop and Ocho" and so on, so it's reasonable to assume that this will be a fresh line-up of original stories from the faraway galaxy.
While this is in no way a bad thing, it's a shame we won't get a sequel, especially to the brilliant aforementioned episode.
