- Quick Answer: Netflix has not officially renewed The Four Seasons for Season 3, but executive producers and cast members are actively discussing ideas for a continuation.
The Four Seasons Season 2 finally landed on Netflix on May 28, continuing the story of the fan-favorite group of friends after the first season’s tragic events.
The second season picks up where the previous season left off, with Kate (Tina Fey), Jack (Will Forte), Danny (Colman Domingo), Claude (Marco Calvani), and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver) continuing their get-togethers despite Nick’s (Steve Carell) death in the Season 1 finale.
So, after that big move and a surprise cameo, will there be The Four Seasons Season 3?
Warning: Major spoilers for The Four Seasons Season 2 finale ahead. Read with caution.
What Happened in The Four Seasons Season 2 Finale?

The Four Seasons Season 2 mostly focused on Danny and Claude’s baby plans. Claude knew a baby wasn’t for them, while Danny still had some growing up to do.
As they realized they saw having a baby as a way to possibly fix their relationship, they moved to Italy but ended up going to Philadelphia instead after Danny’s mother fell ill.
Elsewhere, Ginny finally named her baby after much deliberation with Anne, who revealed the name Nick had hoped to use for their future son, Eugene. Ginny initially wanted to call her baby Cove, but the group quickly disagreed. Eventually, she named him Gino.
As for Anne, Kate tried to set her up with an old friend, but it didn’t work out. However, it wasn’t the end of Anne’s romantic life. In fact, it was only just beginning when she stayed at Danny and Claude’s home in Italy and met a very handsome stranger, surprisingly played by David Tennant.
This may seem like a surprise cameo, but it appears to hint at a possible new storyline for The Four Seasons Season 3.
Tennant didn’t just use his native Scottish accent in the show; he was also introduced as Gianpiero, the name Anne had mentioned to Mark (Steven Pasquale) when dreaming of her life in Italy.
So, will this be the start of Anne’s fantasy becoming reality?
What to Expect from The Four Seasons Season 3?

So far, Netflix has yet to renew The Four Seasons for a third season. But based on how things end, it’s not unlikely that this eclectic group of friends will return for another holiday reunion.
Anne, Danny, and Claude could still continue their stories despite being in different locations across the world, while Ginny and her baby Gino could become more central to the group dynamic.
And with David Tennant joining the series, Anne could finally begin a new relationship in the next season.
In fact, co-creator, co-showrunner, and writer Tracey Wigfield told TODAY that she would love to see Anne have “a real love story that doesn’t go wrong right away” after that “romantic cliffhanger.”
There could also be future marathons, and Jack and Kate might finally have a storyline that takes center stage.
Wigfield also confirmed there are ongoing ideas and “conversations that are interesting for all the characters that we hope we get to do more.”
And of course, the show wouldn’t be the same without the original cast returning. So if a third season happens, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, Marco Calvani, Kerri Kenney-Silver, and Erika Henningsen would be expected to reprise their roles.
Fey has already expressed excitement about a potential third season, saying she wants the cast and crew to “travel some more,” while Forte was also open to returning.
“It is a dream job,” he said. “I would do whatever.”
The Four Seasons Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix.
