Noah Schnapp recently revealed that he requested the addition of a scene between his character, Will Byers, and Mike Wheeler in the Stranger Things finale to provide a better closure for them.
One of the highlights of the hit Netflix show's final season is when Will came out as gay to his friends, including Mike, whom he previously had feelings for. The moment was followed up by a bittersweet heart-to-heart talk between Will and Mike in the final episode, where they agreed to continue being best friends.
Why Noah Schnapp Asked to Add Will and Mike's Closure Talk in Stranger Things Finale

In a recent interview with People, Schnapp shared that he asked The Duffer Brothers to add another scene between Will and Mike in the final episode of Stranger Things for a better closure between the characters.
He felt that there were things that were left "unsaid" for the two friends, which is why he approached the showrunners and suggested that a heart-to-heart talk would provide a satisfying closure for that storyline.
"I did feel there was a little bit left unsaid with [episode 7]. And I did actually speak to the Duffers, and they included a scene in the finale that wasn't originally there to kind of close that story properly," the actor said.
"[It was] nice to have that trust from [Matt and Ross Duffer]. If something doesn't work, or if something feels not right, you can speak to them, and they will work with you."
Schnapp felt that the final heart-to-heart talk between Will and Mike in the finale gave a feeling that it was "completely closed and satisfying" and "think the fans will be happy."
Luckily, fans had an enthusiastic response to Will and Mike's final scene together, so Schnapp had the right instinct about what was best for the two characters in the show's final moments.
Is There a Stranger Things Spinoff Series in the Works?
The animated prequel series, Stranger Things: Tales from '85, is set to premiere on Netflix later this year.
The story takes place between the events of the second and third seasons. Set in 1985, it’s a freezing winter in Hawkins, and our heroes are about to embark on an epic journey where "the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town," the logline reads.
The Duffer Brothers are involved as executive producers of the series, while Flying Bark worked on the animation. However, the main cast from the series won't be reprising their roles.
A live-action spinoff series is also currently in development, but the details are still under wraps as the team is working on finalizing the main idea of the project.
"And the spinoff, it relates in some ways, but it really is a completely different story and a completely different location with completely different actors and characters. So it's its own. It's really its own entity," Matt Duffer teased.
