It has been four years since All of Us Are Dead explosively debuted on Netflix, becoming a global hit and receiving critical acclaim.

But while the show was quickly renewed just a few months after its premiere, its much-awaited second season still hasn’t been released.

Now that Park Solomon, who plays fan-favorite heartthrob Lee Su-hyeok, is leading a new Netflix series, No Tail to Tell, it has only intensified fans’ longing for All of Us Are Dead Season 2, making the delay feel long overdue.

So, will the wait finally be over soon, or will it continue even longer?

All of Us Are Dead wowed the world with its high-stakes horror, becoming one of Netflix’s most-watched K-dramas when it premiered in January 2022.

With this success, it was no surprise that the show was renewed for a second season in June 2022. But just as fans thought the series would continue soon after, four years have passed, and there’s still no new season on the small screen.

Back in April 2024, Film Monster CEO Park Chul-soo revealed that the second season was supposed to start filming in 2024 and was slated to premiere in 2025.

However, according to Naver, Netflix decided to postpone production for a year to “ensure a better production environment and high quality.”

True enough, in June 2025, additional cast members were announced – Roh Jae-won, Lee Min-jae, Kim Si-eun, Seo Ji-hoon, Yoon Ga-i, Kim Min, Ahn Dong-goo, and Ryu Sung-rok – finally giving fans an update on the show’s continuation.

Principal photography soon followed in July 2025. With cameras finally rolling, All of Us Are Dead Season 2’s production officially began that same month.

Filming is reportedly scheduled to wrap in February 2026, giving fans a glimpse of hope that the new season will soon be released.

So far, there is no official word on when All of Us Are Dead Season 2 will be released. While production may finally wrap in February, it’s the post-production phase that fans need to worry about.

With the appearance of zombies, not to mention the dystopian fictional city of Hyosan, the series relies heavily on realistic CGI and visual effects to create an unsettling atmosphere.

The textures, blood, and decaying flesh used in the zombies’ makeup are painstakingly detailed, allowing mutilated bodies, missing limbs, and rotting flesh to look incredibly realistic.

Unfortunately, despite the hope that the second season might premiere in 2026, the elaborate action choreography, large ensemble cast, and extensive visual effects work may delay its release.

It’s also good to note that Netflix has already revealed its 2026 lineup, including Beef Season 2, Sweet Magnolias Season 5, The Hunting Wives Season 2, The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4, and XO, Kitty Season 3. Sadly, All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is notably absent.

While there are rumors that the series could drop in December 2026, a more realistic release window may be in 2027.

Anyhow, Netflix has also noted that its 2026 series slate is “not comprehensive,” so there’s still a chance All of Us Are Dead Season 2 could arrive sooner than expected.
