Season 4 of The Boys has given the fans a lot to process, from Tek-Knight’s traumatising Tek-Cave to Butcher’s fight club moment. However, amid all the gore and sex, we got what fans are deeming as the most wholesome moment of the entire series.

In episode 6, A-train helps The Boys after a mission goes south. After his injury during the mission, he takes Mother’s Milk to the hospital, granting A-Train his first real save. In the scene, as A-train puts MM on a stretcher, he spots a young man who witnesses his heroics and smiles. As wholesome as this moment is, it convinced the fans that A-Train will die soon.

A-Train

During the show's initial seasons, fans disliked A-Train due to his actions towards The Boys. But his redemption arc started in Season 3 after his brother got paralysed by a racist supe, Blue Hawk. Knowing firsthand how his actions impacted others, A-Train’s journey to redemption started.

This is why, in season 4, he teams up with The Boys after a motivational pep talk from Mother’s Milk in episode 3. Since then, A-Train has helped the gang multiple times, betraying Homelander, The Seven, and Vought.

This betrayal towards The Seven and Homelander convinced the fans that A-Train would die this season, especially because he sneaks into Homelander’s room to steal compound V for Hughie’s dad. And, with what we know about Homelander, he does not hesitate to kill people who betray him.

A-Train's first save

While A-Train’s save was heartwarming, it’s also the perfect setup for his death. With the show’s side plot revolving around finding the mole at Vought, it's only a matter of time before A-Train gets caught. And, when that happens, our trigger-happy menace Homelander will not be happy.

After all, Homelander kills people just for the hell of it. So imagine how he’d react if he finds out A-Train’s secretly helping out his enemies. Plus, it would be a good place to mention that he didn’t even hesitate to kill his lover, Madelyn Stillwell, and Black Noir for deceiving him.

After the episode aired, fans took to Reddit to share their emotions and theories. A post on the show’s subreddit described A-Train’s save as “one of the best scenes in the whole series.” However, fans started commenting on how this seemed like a setup for his death.

While it’s all speculation, fans on the show’s subreddit have been plotting theories on how A-Train’s death would occur. One theory was that Homelander might have cameras set up in his room so he could see A-Train stealing the V.

Another one was that Homelander could simply smell A-Train’s scent in his room due to his abilities. In any case, it doesn’t seem good for the new fan-favourite supe, A-Train. So, it might be plausible that A-Train might die in the upcoming episodes of season 4. But, with the story revolving around his redemption, his death will plausibly be heroic.
