Who is Teagan Croft? Meet the Star of Tangled Live-Action Movie
Teagan Croft is a 21-year-old Australian actress who has been performing since she was nine years old, when she played Scout Finch in the play adaptation of the classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird.
She made her breakthrough in 2016 when she starred in the Australian science-fiction film The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One and landed a recurring role in the popular soap opera Home and Away.
Before her casting in Tangled, Croft's biggest role to date was starring as Raven/Rachel Azarath in the DC superhero series Titans. She played the character in all four seasons as one of the main leads.
She also played the lead role in the Australian biopic True Spirit, where she portrayed Jessica Watson, a sailor who attempted to do a solo global circumnavigation at the age of 16.
According to her IMDb bio page, Croft "writes her own songs and is an avid book reader." She is also the niece of actresses Penny McNamee and Jessica McNamee.
Now, she is set to become a global star with her casting as Rapunzel in the Tangled live-action remake, which is expected to be a big hit when it arrives in theaters sometime in the future.
What to Expect in Tangled Live-Action Remake
The original Tangled film follows the magically long-haired Rapunzel, who has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time and who she really is. The live-action remake will likely follow the same plot.
The Greatest Showman's Michael Gracey is attached to direct the film. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is working on the screenplay. It is unknown yet whether some of the creative team from the original film is involved.
So far, there is no release date set yet for the live-action remake. Production is currently scheduled to begin in June 2026 in England.
