A member of the Losers Club from the IT movies made a surprise cameo appearance in the post-credits scene of the first season finale of IT: Welcome to Derry.
The hit horror show's debut season concluded with a shocking twist surrounding the timeline of the IT universe, as well as revelations on the connections to the movies. Throughout the season's eight-episode run, fans have been wondering whether the series will connect to the two IT movies, despite being a prequel. As it turns out, it is more connected than we may have thought.
SPOILER WARNING: This article includes spoilers for the first season finale of IT: Welcome to Derry, so proceed with caution.
Which Losers Club Member Appeared in IT: Welcome to Derry Season 1 Finale?

Sophia Lillis made a surprise cameo appearance in the post-credits scene of the first season finale of IT: Welcome to Derry, reprising the role of Beverly Marsh from the movies.
The final moments of the episode flash forward to 26 years later, when an older Ingrid Kersh (now played by Joan Gregson from IT: Chapter Two) encountered young Beverly Marsh, who was reeling from discovering her mother's dead body from a suicide, at Juniper Hill Asylum.
The Losers Club members' appearance delighted a lot of fans as they were glad that the series managed to bring back someone from the IT movies and connect the events of Welcome to Derry. Not only that, Lillis agreed to reprise the role without the help of de-aging technology.
"It was important for me to make a stronger connection to the movies. The idea of bringing Beverly back in the epilogue was a last-minute idea," director and executive producer Andy Muschietti explained to EW.
Showrunner Jason Fuchs added, "That scene takes on a different meaning when you go back and rewatch. Beverly might not remember that encounter, but somewhere, that's deep in the recesses of her mind. Now you understand why It would choose that form to take. This is a deep-seeded memory of hers. The most traumatic moment of her life is linked to an early encounter with Mrs. Kersh."
Filming the scene is also a poignant moment now since it was Gregson's last on-screen work before she passed away in June of this year. She shot her scene with Lillis months before.
"She was 91 when we shot. She was hilarious and so talented and just so game for it," executive producer Barbara Muschietti said.
Is IT: Welcome to Derry Already Renewed for a Second Season?
So far, HBO has not renewed IT: Welcome to Derry for a second season, but considering that it is a ratings hit, it wouldn't be surprising if they make an announcement very soon.
Speaking with EW, director and executive producer Andy Muschietti teased that they already have a three-season plan for the series, which will expand the mythology in past settings even further.
"We’re still keeping that perspective, but there’s a handover to a second season and a third season that will explore more of the other side because it’s really connected to the origin of It and the reasons why It is on this plane of existence," he said.
"The idea, on the longer arc of the series, is to open the door to that bigger, wider mythology to see the iceberg under the water and everything that is not perceivable by humans. I can’t tell you too much about seasons 2 and 3, but we are gonna see more of the mythology and the world that is behind the veil."
