The Pitt may only have premiered in 2025, but it has quickly become one of the most acclaimed and talked-about medical procedural dramas of recent years.

It doesn’t just receive critical acclaim for its cast’s performances, writing, direction, and realism; it has also been praised for its accuracy, realistic portrayal of healthcare workers, and its handling of the psychological challenges faced after the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the show quickly gains traction, with its first season sweeping the 2026 Golden Globes, here’s where to watch The Pitt online and how you can use the best VPNs, such as ExpressVPN and VeePN, if it’s not available in your country.

Where to Stream The Pitt

Created by R. Scott Gemmill and executive produced by ER veterans John Wells and Noah Wyle, The Pitt follows Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) and his team during a grueling 15-hour emergency shift at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.

Each episode covers roughly an hour of his shift, giving viewers a real-time, close-up look at the challenges, pressures, and human drama of life in a busy hospital.

The Pitt Season 2 may not have ended yet, but the show is already renewed for a third season.

HBO ordered a new batch of episodes for the series even before Season 2 premiered. While it may still be a year before the next season arrives, Noah Wyle has already hinted at whether Season 3 will also be set on the Fourth of July, traditionally the busiest time in the ER.

  • “Probably not,” he said (via Forbes). “Although we might not push it so far into the future this time. Ten months was a long jump. I don’t think we need to make that long of a jump next time.”

He also clarified a joke made by showrunner R. Scott Gemmill that the new season would take place on Halloween.

  • “He’s just giving — ask a Canadian a question, and they answer. It’s unbelievable,” Wyle continued. “He’s got this Krampus costume he wants to wear on set.”
