The new Mark Ruffalo crime drama Task has become one of the acclaimed shows this year.

Set in the suburbs of Philadelphia, it focuses on an FBI agent who heads a task force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspected family man.

Here's where and how you can watch the miniseries.

What if the show is not available to watch in your country? Thankfully, a VPN can help you.

How to Use a VPN to Watch Task

If Task isn't available in your country or streaming platform, one viable option to gain access is to use a top VPN for streaming.

A VPN bypasses geo-restrictions and convinces the network that you're within the same country where the exclusive content is available. In our opinion, ExpressVPN and VeePN are the best options, albeit for different reasons.

ExpressVPN shines with a network of over 3,000 servers across 105 countries, offering consistently fast and reliable connections. VeePN, on the other hand, features more than 2,600 servers and stands out as a budget-friendly alternative, starting at just $1.99 per month.

Both VPNs bring distinct advantages: ExpressVPN excels in speed and global coverage, while VeePN delivers impressive value for the price. So, to stream Task or other similar works that may be region-locked, either service can meet your needs effectively.

Here's how to get started with a VPN, if you're unaware:

Step 1: Sign Up

  • Start your VPN subscription and download the app for whichever service you choose on your chosen device.

Step 2: Connect

  • Navigate the app and explore connecting to different servers located in the US, the UK, and beyond, depending on what you're watching.

Step 3: Stream

  • Go to your desired streaming service, log in, and you'll be able to watch your favorite movies and shows like Task.

Other VPN Options to Consider

If ExpressVPN isn't for you, here are some other top VPN services to consider:

  • NordVPN: Offers strong security and provides excellent server speeds
  • Surfshark: Unlimited device connections at an affordable value
  • CyberGhost: Known for its fast speed and reliable server networks across countries
  • Private Internet Access: Known for strong privacy features and an affordable, feature-rich VPN service

Aside from streaming exclusive content in the comfort of your own home, VPNs offer other benefits such as data privacy, where the service masks your IP address, and prevents you from being monitored by ISPs, advertisers, and other potentially exploitive and dangerous organizations.

VPNs also improve online security by encrypting your internet connection while using a VPN, and keep your new server from lagging.

As a result, you might want to consider activating a VPN at all times, not just to stream Task today.

Is Task Getting a Second Season?

There are no plans to do a second season of Task since it is only intended as a 7-episode limited series with a beginning, middle, and end.

As of this writing, new episodes of the series are still airing weekly every Sunday night on HBO in the US. It is scheduled to air until October 19, the airdate of its final episode.

However, we cannot count out the possibility that HBO and creator Brad Ingelsby might still consider doing a second season of the series if it ends up being a massive success with its streaming viewership.
