During a recent interview on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, Murphy addressed the rumors that he has been cast to play Voldemort in HBO's Harry Potter series.

Unfortunately for fans, he confirmed that he is NOT playing the character and is seemingly not interested in taking on the role.

"I don’t know anything about that," the Oscar winner said.

"Also, it’s just really hard to follow anything Ralph Fiennes does. The man is an absolute acting legend, so good luck to whoever’s gonna fill those shoes."

Murphy joked that he's "very attached" to the nose, which is why he doesn't want to play the role.

What to Expect in HBO's Harry Potter Series
