We all know where to watch and stream the Superman movies online, but what about the Man of Steel’s live-action TV adventures?

From the black-and-white days of Adventures of Superman to the modern, emotional finale of Superman & Lois, Clark Kent has had an impressive run on television.

Below, you’ll find a complete guide to where each live-action Superman TV series is streaming in 2025 — and how to watch them with a top VPN, like ExpressVPN and VeePN, if they’re unavailable in your region.

Where to Watch Superman TV Shows

There are several Superman TV series to choose from, but this guide focuses on the six major live-action shows and their current streaming availability.

This classic series starring George Reeves is available to purchase or rent by episode or season on:

Superboy/The Adventures of Superboy (1988-1992)

If you're into the pre-Superman era and the college adventures of Kal-El (Clark Kent), where he's still trying to control his powers while taking Journalism, Superboy can be purchased or rented on:

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993–1997)

The romantic, character-driven ’90s take on Superman can be purchased or rented on:

Smallville (2001–2011)

One of the most beloved Superman-related TV series ever made, Smallville follows a young Clark Kent before he becomes Superman. The full series is currently available to stream on:

  • Hulu / Disney+ (depending on your region)

How to Watch Superman TV Shows with a VPN Service

For watching Superman shows from anywhere in the world, a VPN is great, simply because it bypasses geo-restrictions and convinces the network that you're within the same country where the exclusive content is available.

For this, and online security in general, ExpressVPN and VeePN are two of the best options that we would recommend.

Best VPNs for Streaming

ExpressVPN is particularly strong, offering over 3,000 servers in 105 countries, and costs just $3.49 a month. Alternatively, VeePN has over 2,600 servers and costs just $1.99 per month, making it a slightly more budget-friendly choice.

Both are reliable choices for streaming, depending on whether you prioritize premium performance or affordability.

Other VPN Options to Consider

If ExpressVPN and VeePN are not for you, there are other VPN services worth checking out:

  • NordVPN: Offers strong security and provides excellent server speeds
  • Surfshark: Unlimited device connections at an affordable price.
  • CyberGhost: Known for its fast speed and reliable server networks across countries.
  • Private Internet Access: Known for strong privacy features and an affordable, feature-rich VPN service.

Beyond giving you access to streaming-exclusive content from the comfort of home, VPNs provide a range of powerful benefits.

They boost your online privacy by masking your IP address, making it harder for ISPs, advertisers, and other third parties to track your activity. They also enhance your security by encrypting your internet connection, and in some cases, can even help reduce lag when connecting to distant servers.

In short, using a VPN whenever you're online is a smart habit, not just something to switch on when you’re settling in to watch similar shows from home.

Considering the number of told and retold stories of the Man of Steel and Superman and Lois' adventures, expecting another live-action show might be a bit of a stretch at this point.

However, this doesn't rule out James Gunn's plans for the DC Universe.

When David Corenswet's Superman surged over $22 million at the box office previews (alongside a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes), the Wall Street Journal reported that Gunn may be eyeing at least two TV spinoffs — not for another Clark Kent adventure, though.

The TV spinoffs will reportedly center on side characters such as Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Skyler Gisondo's Jimmy Olsen, both of whom had their own share in the spotlight, despite having relatively less screen time than the titular hero.

Which Superman spinoff are you most looking forward to? Stay tuned to find out if and when it becomes available to stream right here.
