Will There Be a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Reboot?
More than 20 years after the original series ended, Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to return as Buffy Summers in an upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot.
Hulu has ordered a pilot for the revival, which will introduce a new Slayer while continuing Buffy’s story. Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Firestarter) has been cast as a new, introverted high school student joining the Buffyverse.

The pilot will be directed by Oscar-winning Chloé Zhao, with scripts written by Nora and Lilla Zuckerman. A release date has not yet been announced.
