When Will More Episodes of The Sandman Come Out on Netflix?

Ever since Netflix confirmed Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series will be coming back for a second season, avid fans have been on edge. They've been waiting for an announcement or an update regarding the show's production status.

Unfortunately, there's been very little update on The Sandman series. This made some fans worried about whether the show has been canceled after all.

But thankfully, the show's creator Neil Gaiman recently answered a fan's request for "a little news" on the upcoming season. Here's what we know about the show so far.

Over on Gaiman's Tumblr account,  a fan asked for an update on the next batch of episodes. The seasoned writer revealed an exciting update on the show's progress:

This seems to echo the update that Mason Alexander Park gave earlier this year:

Park, who stars in the show as Desire, said that they will start filming in the summer.

Contrary to common practice, The Sandman won't actually be referred to as a second season. Back in Fan Expo San Francisco, Park addressed this and said:

Park promises that whatever Netflix decides to call this season, it will come out "in a really cool way."
