With the first four episodes of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things finally out, fans are now wondering when they can watch the rest of the episodes.
Volume One of the hit Netflix show's final season was well received by fans and critics as it sets up the main storyline for its epic conclusion and unveils shocking revelations that will shake up Hawkins and the Upside Down world in future episodes. Unlike the previous seasons, Netflix is doing a different release strategy as they are spreading out the season across different phases.
When is the Rest of Stranger Things Season 5 Coming Out?

Netflix will be releasing the rest of Stranger Things season 5 across two more phases this coming holiday season.
Volume Two, which will comprise Episodes 5-7 of the fifth season, is scheduled for release on December 25. Fans will be able to binge-watch the next three episodes while celebrating Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, Volume Three, which will comprise the show's final episode, is scheduled for release on New Year's Eve, December 31, just before the year 2025 comes to a close. Not only that, but it will also have a limited theatrical release across North America, so fans could also have the opportunity to watch it on the big screen.
While this kind of release schedule might be frustrating for some fans, it is also a well-timed strategy from Netflix, as fans can celebrate the final season during the holiday season, and the series will be heavily discussed during that period.
This kind of release strategy is also an opportunity for the show's final season to have more buzz, since the time period is now more extended, and there will be a lot of fan theory discussions in the weeks leading up to Christmas Day, helping its online engagement and popularity during this time.
What Fans Should Expect in the Rest of Stranger Things Season 5?
The rest of the episodes in Stranger Things season 5 will address the storylines and twists that we saw in the first four episodes that were recently released.
One of the biggest reveals in Volume One is the unlocking of Will's psychic powers, which will be crucial in the upcoming episodes, as we know now that Eleven won't be the only powerful character that could face Vecna.
"One of the earliest ideas in [Season 5] is, ‘What if Will were able to harness this connection and use it against our villains?’ We also felt it very natural to re-center the story on Will," co-showrunner Ross Duffer explained to Tudum. "He was the kid who was taken in Season 1, so it felt right for the story to come full circle. If anyone [was] going to be the key to ending Vecna, it needed to be Will."
Matt Duffer added, "There is a lot that Will has been dealing with over the course of the four seasons prior to this — so many emotions and inner conflicts that remain unresolved. So we wanted him to grow as a human and become a fully formed version of who he is. And once he’s able to do that, he’s able to harness these incredible powers."
