Terapagos is one of the most important Pokémon in the new Horizons anime. This makes sense given that it is a Legendary Pokémon. This begs the question: what is Terapagos’ weakness in Pokémon Horizons?
Even though the anime has gotten over 40 episodes (at least in Japan), the extent of Terapagos’ abilities isn’t clear yet, but its potential is sky-high based on what has been shown so far.

All You Need to Know About the Pokémon Terapagos
Terapagos debuted in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This DLC’s second part features Terapagos as the mascot.
Even though he doesn’t seem that special at first, Terapagos is a unique Pokémon that is worthy of its Legendary status. That’s because it is one of the few Pokémon to change forms without needing to evolve.
Its normal form is a cute, tortoise-like creature. In battle though, Terapagos can transform into its Terastal Form or Stellar Form, both of which have more eye-catching designs and powerful abilities.
In the anime, Liko’s pendant was revealed to be Terapagos in a dormant state. Now, Terapagos is part of Liko's party.

What Is Terapagos Weak to in the Pokémon Games?
As a Legendary, Terapagos is strong in battles, especially in the game, thanks to its transformations via the Tera Shift Ability.
Terapagos has a key weakness in the game though, and that is Fighting-type Pokémon. That’s because Terapagos is a Normal type, and that type is only weak to Fighting types.
Given its type, Terapagos won’t be able to land “super effective” hits against most Pokémon, though it should be resistant to everything but Fighting types.
What Is Terapagos' Weakness in Pokémon Horizons? Potential Theories Explored
Type strengths and weaknesses are also a thing in the Pokémon anime, so Terapagos may be also weak to Fighting-type Pokémon in the Horizons anime.
Of course, it remains to be seen if that’s the case, as Liko’s Terapagos hasn’t been shown much in fights. Thus, you can even say that fighting is a weakness for it currently.
There have been times when it showed its potential, including the time it transformed against Black Rayquaza. Terapagos passed out soon after though, indicating that it still has a long way to go.
For now, Terapagos isn’t capable in battles yet, but that might change in future Horizons episodes.
