Considering the heartbreaking ending Ramses and Marissa had to go through, what happened to Marissa after the events of Love is Blind season 7? Here's what the former contestant has been up to following her involvement in the reality show.
What Happened to Marissa Post-Love is Blind S7? Where is She Now?
As much as Ramses and Marissa were looking forward to a happy married life after the finale of Love is Blind season 7 aired, their ending went differently.
Ramses called off the wedding, leaving Marissa devastated and the memory too 'jarring' for her to recall.
The finale of Love is Blind season 7 was filmed in early 2024, and Netflix aired episode 12 titled Leap of Faith on Wednesday, October 23. After some time has passed, here's an update on where Marissa is post-series.
Marissa graduated from the University of Maryland's Francis King Carey School of Law this Spring.
On October 22, Marissa guest-starred on The Viall Files podcast where she opened up about rewatching Love is Blind season 7 and shared her realizations.
"To be honest, as a woman, you're kind of conditioned at times to deal with guys like that," she reflected on how Ramses probably "didn't realize what he was saying" or how his words came across to Marissa at the time when he broke off their wedding.
In a previous interview, she also recalled the chance she could have matched up with Bohdan Olinares, one of the bachelors who shared the same energy as she did, aka the same energy Ramses claimed was 'too much' for him.
Marissa thought back to it and said, "It could have probably worked" with him" had she chosen Bohdan.
It Took Marissa Six Months to "Really Start to Move On" From Ramses
According to Marissa, she and Ramses had seen each other a couple more times in D.C. post-Love is Blind season 7's fiasco, as well.
"We saw each other a few times after [we broke up]. I took the breakup really hard, as you can imagine from the scene of me crying and stuff," Marissa said in an October 23 interview on Glamour, "It took me probably six months to get back on track and to really start to move on."
She added that they had the chance to talk for 8 to 9 hours on the phone, initially convinced that they could "get back together after that." But Ramses did not appear to be on board with that.
"[In] February or March, I did ask him if he wanted to get back together," Marissa explained, "I'm not really ashamed to say that. 'If you feel it, what's the worst that can happen?' And he's like, 'Nah.' So after that, we just stopped communication."
