Marvel insider MyTimeToShineHello claimed that Marvel is allegedly eyeing Emma Myers for a “huge MCU role.”

While he didn’t reveal what role the 24-year-old star could play, he asked his followers who she could portray.

Of course, X users have several roles in mind for Myers, from Silk, aka Cindy Moon, to Kitty Pryde, aka Shadowcat. But if there’s one character many commenters believe she could do, it’s either Gwenpool or Spider-Gwen.

Originally named Gwendolyn Poole, Gwenpool is a young woman from the real world who loves reading comics. She eventually finds herself transported into the Marvel Universe and uses her comic knowledge to become a hero, knowing the secret identities, powers, and weaknesses of various characters.

She is also a member of the West Coast Avengers, alongside other MCU stars such as Kate Bishop and America Chavez.

On the other hand, Spider-Gwen remains under Sony’s control. In fact, there have been rumors that she could have her own animated movie from the studio.

Since she is also a major part of Miles Morales’ journey in Spider-Verse, and there are claims that Miles could eventually join the MCU, it remains to be seen whether Sony would allow Spider-Gwen to make the jump as well.

While the animated Spider-Verse movies are not part of the main MCU, a live-action version of Miles Morales is reportedly planned to join the franchise in the future.

Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man, has also talked about plans to introduce a live-action version of Miles into the MCU.

“I think at this point in time, we’re being really open-minded about what the future looks like. I know that I have aspirations to bring Miles Morales into the universe, however that works out,” he told Hobby Consolas. “We’ve got a lot of work to do to bring that to life. But yeah, I feel really strongly about it.”

The Odyssey star also expressed his gratitude for being introduced to the franchise and being guided by Robert Downey Jr., who previously played Tony Stark/Iron Man and now portrays Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.

Now, Holland wants to return the favor by helping guide the next generation of stars who will join the Marvel universe.

“So that is definitely something that I’m really working towards,” he continued.

While it remains to be seen if this will happen, there may be a chance for Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen to become part of the MCU, with the latter potentially being played by Emma Myers.
