CBS has just premiered their new Trek series, and so far, a lot of reviews say that the series is promising. With the release of Star Trek: Discovery, Screen Junkies looks back at another iconic show, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and gives us an Honest Trailer about Jean-Luc Picard and his crew.

With the original Trek being a bit more campy and old-fashioned, TNG has brought us more mature stories, as well as a higher caliber of acting. Then again, it also isn’t safe from having its own kinks like Picard and Riker sitting down the same way everytime, and Worf ridiculously getting his ass kicked repeatedly.
Despite all that, TNG had managed to instill a love for Trek for a whole new generation, and hopefully with the release of Discovery, the franchise will pull in a whole new crowd of fans and at the same time satisfy long-time lovers of the old series.
