War Machine Originally Had a Bigger Role in Avengers: Infinity War

Now that Avengers: Infinity War is over and done with, fans are eagerly anticipating Avengers 4 and how it will end this epic tale. One thing fans are hoping to see is more screen time for some characters who didn't get much spotlight in Infinity War, like Captain America and Black Widow. As fans wait for the next installment, fans have been finding out new details about what could have been through leaked info from the Infinity War artbook.

It turns out that one character who was supposed to get more time is War Machine aka James Rhodes. Rhodey almost died when The Vision accidentally blasted him with a laser that was meant to hit Falcon back in CivilWar and he sort of regrets siding with the government. He ended up helping Cap and his crew out during the battle at Wakanda, suiting up again in his War Machine suit.

Turns out that there was supposed to be another armor for Rhodey to wear, which would have made him almost as good as Iron Man. According to the artbook (via Screen Rant), Rhodey's new armor would have had some neat stealth features and more weapons than his previous armor. In the end, they decided to mesh both armors into one but it would have been cool seeing Rhodey get a bigger role.

Avengers 4 is coming to theaters on May 3, 2019. Will War Machine get a bigger role in the sequel? We'll have to wait and see.
