A recent rumor has suggested that Marvel Television's Vision series may have found its actor for the highly-coveted Tommy Maximoff role.
It was recently confirmed that Marvel is developing a new series that will center on Paul Bettany's White Vision following the events of WandaVision. Star Trek: Picard's Terry Matalas will serve as the showrunner.
While most of the details regarding the project are still under wraps, there have been speculations that it will feature an older Tommy Maximoff (also known by his hero name Speed) who will accompany Vision in his journey.
Javon Walton Reportedly Eyed for Tommy Maximoff Role in Vision Series
Insider Daniel Richtman claimed in his recent scoop that actor and professional boxer Javon Walton is being eyed to play "Teen" (aka Tommy Maximoff) in Vision.
It will be similar to Joe Locke's mysterious "Teen" role in Agatha All Along. Fans have speculated that his character will be revealed to be Billy Kaplan.
Walton is known for playing Ashray in the hit HBO series Euphoria and recently starred in the acclaimed Hulu series Under the Bridge. He made his professional boxing debut earlier this year.
So far, Marvel Television has not confirmed the claims that were made in the scoop.
If Walton is indeed the frontrunner for the highly-coveted role, he is an interesting choice since he has proven in the last few years that he can play an action-oriented character and it helps that he is also a professional boxer.
It also shows that Marvel is committed to exploring more of Billy and Tommy in the MCU moving forward and they are planting the seeds for their eventual heroic turn.
For now, let's wait and see whether Walton will end up being the official choice for the role, but it is exciting for fans that they are planning to give an older Tommy his official MCU entrance soon.
Vision is slated for release on Disney+ in 2026.
