Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 Cast: Who Will Return For Vikings: Valhalla Season 2?
Most of the original cast from the first season will be back for Vikings: Valhalla Season 2.
Sam Corlett will most likely return as Leif Erikkson, and Frida Gustavsson may also return as Leif's sister, FreydĆs EirĆksdĆ³ttir. Leo Suter may also reprise his role as the Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson.
JĆ³hannes Haukur JĆ³hannesson is still expected to play Olaf in Season 2, along with Laura Berlin as Emma of Normandy and David Oakes as Goodwin.
The other actors who played major roles in the first season and will most likely return are SĆøren Pilmark (who plays Forkbeard) and Bradley Freegard (who plays Canute).
Pollyanna McIntosh joins the cast as Queen Ćlfgifu
Sometime in late August, Pollyanna McIntosh, who previously starred in The Walking Dead, celebrated being a part of Vikings: Valhalla season 2 through an Instagram post.
McIntosh will be playing Queen Ćlfgifu, who was the queen of Norway from 1030 to 1035 and was the wife of Cnut the Great. Queen Ćlfgifu was the mother of Harold Harefoot.
Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 Plot: What Will Happen in Vikings: Valhalla Season 2?
Vikings: Valhalla took many liberties when it came to the story's historical accuracy, so it will be hard to deduce the possible plots for Season 2 through the historical records of the Vikings.
In the final episode of Season 1, we see Harald and Freydis looking over Kattegat as it burns down to the ground. This leaves a world of possibilities for the Vikings to explore.
In an interview with Newsweek, Stuart dropped subtle indications about the plot of Season 2. He said that the Vikings were voyagers, searching the world for new cultures and experiences:
"They were great traders. So they went to Constantinople, they went to Egypt, they went through the Middle East. Viking DNA is found almost all over that part of Europe. They went to the Iberian Peninsula and obviously England and Ireland.
So you can probably guess that my Vikings are going to get on their boats and explore a little bit."
