G2 beat Sentinels in Icebox and Split, 2-0, and it looks like Sentinels were barely even trying, especially in their first match in Icebox. Despite Dapr securing a clutch in a critical round in Split, G2 was still able to dominate to win the second map without any overtime.

This makes G2 the first team to take down the NA powerhouse. Both teams already secured a route of the Group Stage, so there's not a lot of stakes in this match, but G2 was able to get their revenge after Sentinels took them down in their first match last Sunday, making them first place in Group D of VCT Masters Berlin.

Both G2 and Sentinels were able to beat South Korea's F4Q in their matches, with G2 winning against F4Q twice already. Sentinels still has one more match against F4Q on Thursday, but the South Korean team's underwhelming double round robin standings won't quality them for the playoffs, so there's not a lot of stakes in that match.

Five teams have already qualifed for the VCT Masters Berlin playoffs: Vision Strikers, Envy, 100 Thieves, Sentinels, and G2. There are still three more qualifying matches from the Group Stage to determine the three other teams that will join them in the playoffs.

Will Sentinels rise back to win the whole competition, or will they be completely dethroned by G2 or another team?

The quarterfinals will begin this Friday, September 17.
